According to a ToloNews article dated 6 January 2020, Da Afghanistan Bank has awarded a US$8.5 million contract to the Polish Security Printing Works (PWPW) for 10 billion afghanis in new notes in denominations of 10, 20, 50, and 100 afghanis to be delivered within six to 18 months.
