Afghanistan new notes to be printed in France

According to an article on Wadsam dated 28 May 2021, the Afghan National Procurement Authority has announced that the French company, Abirtour Fischer [sic; likely Oberthur Fiduciarie] will print 390 million new 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, and 1000 afghani banknotes for Da Afghanistan Bank in the next nine months at a cost of US$15.15 million. While the article does not describe the new notes, given the short time frame for printing, it is assumed that these will be signature and date varieties of existing designs, perhaps with enhanced security features.
