Zimbabwe new 10- and 20-dollar notes reported for introduction in days

According to a China.org.cn article dated 20 December 2019, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe plans to introduce new 10- and 20-dollar notes. Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa said the new notes will be introduced in the next few days as the government moves to contain persistent cash shortages. Mnangagwa said the introduction of the new higher denomination banknotes, following that of 2 and 5 dollars a few weeks ago, will increase money supply and help curb the prevailing cash shortages.
