The Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan issued a 1,000-ngultrum banknote to commemorate the birth of His Royal Highness The Gyalsey, Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, which took place on 5 February 2016. 3,420,000 notes were printed and released into circulation beginning 21 September 2016. According to a report on eyeRadio dated 25 November 2016, Kornelio Koriom, governor of the Central Bank of South Sudan, said the bank has no intention of printing, replacing, or changing the current South Sudanese banknotes other than to replace worn and damaged notes.Read More…
