According to reports, the Banque des États de l’Afrique Centrale (Bank of the Central African States) has begun printing 500-, 1,000-, and 2,000-franc notes (B106, B107, and B108, respectively) on a composite substrate. The notes appear identical to the preceding paper issues, except for the new signature combination of Lucas Abaga Nchama and Salomon Francis Meke. To date the 1,000- and 2,000-franc note has been confirmed with country code U for Cameroon.
