According to a Russian-language press release, on 28 April 2015, the Trans-Dniester Republican Bank introduced 1- and 10-ruble banknotes (B215a and B216a) commemorating the 70th anniversary of victory in World War II. These commemorative notes are like the existing regular issues (B209b and B211b), but have an overprint at lower right front with the Russian text 70 ЛЕТ ВЕЛИКОЙ ПОБЕДЫ (70 Years of Great Victory) above Saint George’s Ribbon, the most respected symbol of military valour in Russia, followed by 1945-2015 below. 7,070 pieces of each denomination were issued into circulation. 2,000 sets of the notes were sold in folders as numismatic products.
