According to a press release dated 12 January 2017, the Central Bank of the Solomon Islands intends to introduce a new 20-dollar note with new features, dimensions (140 x 66 mm), and sophistication in design, durability, and security. The notes, printed by De La Rue, will be launched on 20 January, but won’t enter circulation until 23 January.
