Cape Verde new 1,000-escudo note (B224a) confirmed

According to a press release, on 15 April 2025 the Banco de Cabo Verde introduced new 1,000- and 2,000-escudo notes. This 1,000-escudo note is like the preceding issue (B219), but with the holographic patch replaced by a holographic stripe, and with an outline map of Santigo island municipalities added to honor the birthplace of Codé de Dona.

Holographic stripe with demetalized doves in flight, accordions, and musical notes. 4-mm windowed security thread with demetalized BCV 1000 and vine.
