According to a press release dated 27 October 2023, the Central Bank of Solomon Islands unveiled a new legal tender 10-dollar polymer banknote to commemorate the 17th Pacific Games held in Honiara from 19 November to 2 December 2023. 1,000,000 notes were printed by De La Rue.
Each note has a 6-digit serial number and fractional alphanumeric prefix. The prefix on each note is SI/23, for the Solomon Island’s Pacific Games in 2023.
