According to a press release dated 9 June 2023, Bank Negara Malaysia has announced that Datuk Shaik Abdul Rasheed bin Abdul Ghaffour has been appointed governor of the central bank effective 1 July 2023. Expect his signature to appear on banknotes in the near future.
