According to a press release dated 16 June 2022, the federal government approved the designs of a 75-rupee banknote “printed on local paper” to commemorate both the 75th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence on 14 August 1947 as well as the founding of the State Bank of Pakistan on 1 July 1948.
