Guyana new 2,000-dollar commemorative polymer note (B121a) confirmed

According to an article in the Kaieteur News dated 26 January 2022, the Bank of Guyana planned to introduce a 2,000-dollar note to commemorate Guyana’s 55 years of independence. It features Guyana’s flag, reflecting the nation’s strong sense of identity; the Wai-Wai pattern, as a show of respect for the country’s indigenous heritage; and six children, representing the inherent ethnic races and serving as a symbol of President Irfaan Ali’s “One Guyana” vision.
