According to a press release dated 29 November 2017, on 4 December 2017 the Bank of Lithuania will auction 500 sets of notes with an opening bid of 50 euros each. The sets are comprised of three unissued notes: 100 litu dated 1994 (B161b), 500 litu dated 1991 (B162a), and 1,000 litu dated 1991 (B163a). On 12 December 2017, 4,484 sets will be offered for sale at the average price of the auction.
