On 18 December 2017, the Trans-Dniester Republican Bank introduced two different 1-ruble banknotes (B223a and B224a) commemorating the 100th anniversary of the state security bodies and police, respectively. 2,500 pieces of each were issued into circulation, and an unknown number were also packaged in a folder and sold as numismatic products.
