According to a press release dated 3 July 2019, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas announced that it will begin issuing notes with the signature of Governor Benjamin E. Diokno.
Furthermore, in the first quarter of 2020, the bank intends to issue notes with upgraded windowed security threads, anti-copying and anti-scanning features, and tactile marks.
