On 9 July 2026, the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank announced plans to introduce a new family of notes beginning in 2027. The new family retains the same denominations and color schemes as preceding issues, but with the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on front replaced with new portraits to honor the people, heritage, and achievements of the eight member countries of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU). Each participating member country was invited to nominate an individual whose life and legacy reflect the highest ideals of service, leadership, scholarship, and excellence.
