On 6 August 2024, the Central Bank of Kenya announced that all notes would be revised with new dates, signatures, and color-shifting security threads specific to each denomination. The 1,000-shilling note is to be issued first, with other denominations following in the coming months as the bank exhausts its supply of the current notes. The new notes are printed by Giesecke & Devrient as De La Rue suspended its operations in Kenya in 2023.

Like B148a, but new signatures (Thugge/Kiptoo), new date (2024), new security thread, and new printer (G&D without imprint).
