According to a press release dated 7 October 2020, the Reserve Bank of Fiji introduced a new 50-dollar legal tender note commemorating Fiji’s 50th anniversary of independence on 8 October 2020. It was introduced along with a 50-cent commemorative coin. Special numismatic collector sets are now also available through the Reserve Bank.
