Royal Bank of Scotland parent plans to change name to NatWest Group in 2020

According to a press release, the parent company of the Royal Bank of Scotland plans to change its name from RBS Group plc, to NatWest Group plc later in 2020. However, this isn’t likely to result in banknotes with the NatWest name as the release explicitly states, “Customers will see no change to products or services as a result of this change and will continue to be served through the brands they recognise today, including NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland.”
