On 2 December 2010, Banco De Guatemala issued a new 20-quetzal (US$2.50) note, like B595b, but with new security features, including a flag as registration device, color-shifting windowed security thread with demetalized text, watermark with electrotype 20, microprinting, colored fibers, and a latent image.
