Jersey new 100-pound commemorative note (B132a) confirmed

This 100-pound legal tender note commemorates the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, and features a 2003 portrait called Equanimity, by artist Chris Levine and holographer Rob Munday.

Senator Philip Ozouf, treasury minister, said “The £100 note being issued by the Treasury is part of a series of initiatives that will mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in Jersey. In order to issue a new £100 note, the States amended the existing 1959 law, which limited the maximum denomination of any currency note to £50. This is an appropriate way for Jersey to celebrate its loyalty to the crown.”
