According to a press release dated 28 December 2018, the Mongol Bank intends to introduce a revised 5,000-togrog note in the first quarter of 2019. According to an Iran Front Page article dated 2 January 2019, the Central Bank of Iran has unveiled a new 500,000-rial note (B296a) design.
