{"id":8019,"date":"2015-01-16T14:57:00","date_gmt":"2015-01-16T14:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test946983.live-website.com\/?p=8019"},"modified":"2020-01-28T23:28:20","modified_gmt":"2020-01-28T23:28:20","slug":"cuba-new-200-500-and-1000-peso-notes-to-be-issued-01-02-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/banknotenews.com\/?p=8019","title":{"rendered":"Cuba new 200-, 500-, and 1,000-peso notes reported for introduction on 01.02.2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/banknotenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/pancarta1-580x819.jpg\" alt=\"pancarta1-580x819.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"677\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-larger-font-size\">\n<div class=\"blog-entry-body\">According to various sources, on 1 February 2015 the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bc.gob.cu\" target=\"self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Banco Central de Cuba<\/a> will introduce new 200-, 500-, and 1,000-peso notes to ease economic transactions as currently the largest denomination is the 100-peso note (B912).<\/p>\n<p>All three notes are dated 2010 and measure 150 x 70 mm.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"disc\">\n<li>The orange 200-peso note features a portrait of Frank Pa\u00eds on front and city school 26 July on back.<\/li>\n<li>The green 500-peso note features a portrait of Ignacio Agramonte on front and an image of the Constituent Assembly Gu\u00e1imaro on back.<\/li>\n<li>The red 1,000-peso note features a portrait of Julio Antonio Mella on front and a view of the University of Havana on back.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The notes will be protected against counterfeiting by windowed security threads, watermarks of Celia Sanchez and the portrait of the note plus electrotype denomination, and microprinting.
