According to a press release dated 18 November 2015<\/a>, on the occasion of the 45th National Day 2015, the Central Bank of Oman<\/a> announced the introduction of a new commemorative 1-rial banknote.<\/div>\n

There are unconfirmed reports that the bank immediately withdrew the note because of an error in the Hijri year on the front of the note below the signature. It should be \u0661\u0664\u0663\u0667 <\/span>(1437) but appears as \u0661\u0664\u0662\u0667 <\/span>(1427). The date is correct on the back as 1437 H \/ 2015 G.<\/p>\n
