The new denomination is orange. The front of the note is inspired by information and communication technologies, illustrated by a touch pad. The back of the note depicts a pride of lions on the savannah.<\/p>\n<p>However, according to Fabien Louart: There is an error in the french text: On the note, it&#8217;s written &#8220;cinquante milles&#8221; (with &#8220;s&#8221; at &#8220;mille&#8221;) instead of &#8220;cinquante mille&#8221;&#8230; In french the Word &#8220;mille&#8221; is never written with &#8220;s&#8221;, \u00e9ventuellement in plurial.<\/p>\n<p>Open further examination, the image below appears to have been based upon the 5,000-franc note, with the colors changed and text manipulated, and the signature combination is from 1990. <\/p>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bceao.int\/Fausses-rumeurs-de-mise-en.html\">press release dated 7 April 2016<\/a>, the BCEAO claims that these rumors are false.<\/p>\n<p>Courtesy of Cedrian L\u00f3pez Bosch Martineau.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to an article on SeneDirect dated 1 April 2016, the Banque Centrale des Etats de l\u2019Afrique de l\u2019Ouest (BCEAO) plans to introduce a new 50,000-franc note on 30 April 2016.
