According to a Falklands Radio article dated 9 January 2025<\/a>, these polymer notes featuring King Charles III and native flora and fauna are planned for introduction on Falklands Day (14 August 2025), and will circulate in parallel with the preceding paper issues. There is no 1-pound note as that denomination has been replaced by a coin, and there are enough of the preceding 50-pound notes to last the next 90 years.
