\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<div class=\"blog-entry-body\">According to a press release, the Magyar Nemzeti Bank introduced new 2,000- and 5,000-forint notes into circulation on 1 March 2017, although they were declared legal tender from 15 November 2016. Existing notes of the same denominations will circulate in parallel until 31 July 2017, after which time they will be withdrawn, but will not be demonetized until 31 July 2037.
