According to an article in Metro dated 22 December 2021<\/a>, the Central Bank of Lesotho<\/a> introduced a new family of notes on 23 December 2021. These notes are like the preceding issues, but with improved security features. The notes also bear tactile elements for the sight impaired, which necessitated changing the size of some denominations. Furthermore, all notes are coated with SICPAPROTECT varnish, providing both anti-bacteria and anti-viral properties. Existing notes will circulate in parallel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
