According to a press release dated 29 July 2020<\/a>, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas has begun issuing notes with upgraded windowed security threads, anti-copying and anti-scanning features, and tactile marks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new notes are like the current series, but with added short horizontal lines that may be felt at the sides of the banknotes. There will be one pair of these lines for the 50-peso note, two pairs for the 100, three for the 200, four for the 500, and five for the 1,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The security features of the 500-and 1,000-peso notes were strengthened by adding a color-shifting, rolling bar effect on the denominations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the improvements highlight the country\u2019s rich culture by featuring indigenous Filipino weaves on the windowed security thread of the 100-, 200-, 500-, and 1,000-peso banknotes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
