{"id":15574,"date":"2010-03-14T09:38:00","date_gmt":"2010-03-14T09:38:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test946983.live-website.com\/?p=15574"},"modified":"2020-01-28T23:30:32","modified_gmt":"2020-01-28T23:30:32","slug":"philippines-to-issue-new-notes-in-december-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/banknotenews.com\/?p=15574","title":{"rendered":"Philippines new note family reported for introduction in December 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-larger-font-size\">\n<div class=\"blog-entry-body\">According to an <a href=\"http:\/\/globalnation.inquirer.net\/cebudailynews\/news\/view\/20100311-258132\/Cory-tourist-spots-in-new-peso-notes\" target=\"self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Inquirer Global Nation article dated 11 March  2010<\/a>, former President Corazon Aquino and various tourist spots\u2014including the underground river in Palawan\u2014will be featured in the next generation of peso banknotes to be introduced in December 2010, according to OIC Central Bank Governor Diwa Guinigundo.<\/p>\n<p>All denominations (20, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1,000 pesos) are being redesigned, but their colors will  remain the  same. Guinigundo said new personalities will be added to some of the notes, and existing portraits will be updated, while the backgrounds and vignettes will be changed to include the country\u2019s famous tourist spots.
