The themes for the entire series, as well as designs, images, and security features of the first denominations to be issued\u2014the $100 and $50 notes\u2014were unveiled by James M. Flaherty, Minister of Finance; William J. S. Elliott, Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police; and Mark J. Carney, Governor of the Bank of Canada in a ceremony at the Bank of Canada.<\/p>\n<div class=\"blog-entry-body\">\n<p>The $100 note is to be issued in November 2011. The $50 note is to be issued in March 2012.
