{"id":13495,"date":"2011-06-25T09:02:00","date_gmt":"2011-06-25T09:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test946983.live-website.com\/?p=13495"},"modified":"2019-12-03T22:47:13","modified_gmt":"2019-12-03T22:47:13","slug":"iraq-planning-to-delete-zeros-from-dinar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/banknotenews.com\/?p=13495","title":{"rendered":"Iraq planning to delete zeros from dinar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class='has-larger-font-size'>\n<div class=\"blog-entry-body\">According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alsumaria.tv\/en\/Iraq-News\/1-65688-Iraq\u2019s-Central-Bank-plans-to-delete-zeroes-of-Iraqi-currency..html\" target=\"self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">an article in Alsumaria<\/a>, on 23 June 2011 the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbi.iq\" target=\"self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Central Bank of Iraq<\/a> announced it is planning to delete zeros from the Iraqi dinar, and add  Kurdish to the Arabic text on the notes.<\/p>\n<p>Said the adviser of Iraqi Central Bank governor Mothahhar Mohammed Saleh, \u201cThe project of deleting zeroes is complete. It will be submitted to the central bank\u2019s administration in the next session. Then, it will be passed to the ministerial council before presenting it to the Parliament for vote. The mechanisms of changing the currency will be gradual. It will be preceded by awareness campaigns for citizens. The new currency will be printed after deleting the zeros and will include the Kurdish language in addition to the Arabic language.
