Ethiopia considers issuing 200-birr notes

According to an article on Ezega dated 20 August 2011
, the National Bank of Ethiopia
is considering introducing a 200-birr (US$11.70) banknote to keep up with the needs of an economy experiencing high inflation. Currently the highest denomination in Ethiopia is the 100-birr note (Pick 52).
