Laos new 2,000-kip note confirmed

According tp a report on J&C Expat Services dated 29 November 2011, the Bank of the Lao PDR has released a new 2,000-kip (US$0.25) note dated 2011, marking the 36th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the birthday of the late President Kaysone Phomvihane on 13 December.
BOL B17 (PNL): 2,000 kip (US$0.25)
Light blue, purple, gold, and green. Front: Kaysone Phomvihane; Xieng Thong temple; coat of arms. Back: Seset 2 Hydropower Plant. Solid security thread demetalized with Lao text. Watermark: Kaysone Phomvihane with electrotype design. Printer: (BOL). 141 x 65 mm.
